Ok, I apologize for the lack of updates. It's been a crazy couple of years for me. Here's what I've been up to:

1) after my 5 year stint at Sony Santa Monica working on the following video games: God of War II, God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War III, StarHawk, and God of War: Ascension

2) there was only so long I can paint up Kratos Wink/Razz haha! So I moved on from there to work in the film industry. I have been employed by Marvel Studios since 2010 and have joined the Visual Development Department to work on their brand of films. It's been a childhood dream come true to work on these films. I've been lucky enough to work on every single Marvel film since the first Captain America film. So to date, I've worked on Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, and…

3) I'm currently working on The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I've been here at Marvel for almost 4 years now and I still can't believe it! It's been an amazing ride.:shakeloki: WIP

4) I'm so excited b/c I also have some comic book work coming out this year. Specifically, I'll be doing some covers. There's a new Tomb Raider series coming out through Dark Horse Comics and I did an alternate cover to the first issue. I'll be doing a couple more after that. I also might be doing some other covers that I can't talk about yet. Comic books will always be my first love so I'm excited to be doing some stuff again. It's been awhile!

5) I'm a contributing artist to the upcoming book "Masters of Anatomy." mastersofanatomy.com It will showcase a ton of artists (over 100) on how they draw the human figure- both male and female. I'm honored to be part of it!

6) Lastly, I'm currently actually working on producing my first ever self-produced art book. My goal is have it done and ready in time for San Diego Comic Con in July this year. I'm most excited about this as I've wanted to produce an art book for so many years now. I'll definitely give updates as soon as they come. But I'm planning on doing some exciting things to celebrate the book when they time comes closer- such as contests, give aways, commissions/sketches, and more. Stay tuned!!!

Thanks, to all my supporters and followers. I'm constantly inspired by the amazing art I see here at DeviantArt. It keeps me going and it pushes me daily to improve myself and to never to rest on my laurels.

Oh, and I'll be posting more art very soon from Thor: The Dark World, some never-before-seen stuff from The Avengers, and more!

Wowzers! You are quite the artist - living the real dream so many can only admire or wish. It always blows my mind when I hear about an artist working with Dark Horse Comics - I park in front of their headquarters every day to pick someone up from the bus mall just down the street. I've speculated it's like Wonka's Candy Factory in there behind those closed glass doors, but I know the artists don't actually reside there floating down a river of melted chocolate. Fantasy or not, whimsical thinking never hurts.

Here's to you, Andy Park, congratulations and salutations and all the hubbub to go with that!

Congrats on the MCU work for Marvel Studios. Been a fan of the GOTG Vol 2 series by Lanning and Abbnett and if the GOTG films does well, I hope it propels more Cosmic Marvel involvement. Would be cool to see Beta Ray Bill in the next Thor stand-alone film. Nova(Richard Rider) is my favorite comic book super hero. Looking forward to an MCU film of Nova, featuring Richard Rider.

yeeeeeeeeah! My gosh, Andy Park back on TR is just a dream come true! Your run on the series by Top Cow still holds a special place in my nerdy heart. I remember that I used to train in drawing by copying some of your panels here and there.

your work is very inspiring, and though I suppose drawing Kratos for so many years can become tiring, you sure did a fantastic job :) Thanks for your dedication all these years.

And Tomb Raider! Awesome, I was so stunned when I realized you were the artist of the comics I have from 10 years ago, I really wasn't expecting to find such an artist here, I even went to confirm your signature in the volumes I have ahah The series had different artists throughout the volumes but your style was definately my favorite. I'm not much of a Marvel fan but it's great that you are and have been able to start working there

Anyway, best of luck your art book! Congrats for all your success and achievements so far

Haha- that's awesome! I'm always happy to meet people that used to collect my comic work. And I do hear that a lot that about people being surprised. I've jumped around in my career a lot so I guess it's expected. Thanks for kind words!

I remember being 15 when the first God of War came out.  I literally could not believe that your pieces were paintings and not some fancy 3D technology.  You are still an inspiration to this day.

even though that you will be working for Marvel now, does this mean that you will not be drawing anymore kratos god of war artworks at all anymore? ono

Unfortunately yeah, no more Kratos for me. Unless it's for a commission of something. I'm sure I'll draw him again somehow. =>

Probably a stupid question, but what exactly IS the kind of thing you do on a movie working for a company like Marvel Studios (and on those films)?

In a nutshell, I help design the characters and paint up keyframes, which are key story moments. Me and my fellow artists are the next step after the script and director convey the story on paper. So we have to flesh out what everything will actually look like. But more concretely, just look at my gallery and you can see exactly what I've done on films such as The Avengers. Thanks!

Fascinating stuff. So you kind of make/adapt the visuals and material for what scenes and CGI look like, like as a guide visually? (amongst other things) Really fascinating. I'm sure there's much more than what you're allowed to put in your gallery too :D

Yup. But not just the cgi. We design their costumes and sometimes props. Specifically, for the Avengers I designed the costumes for Black Widow, Hawkeye, Fury, SHIELD agents, Maria Hill, and the Other. Then the costume designer will actually make it based on our designs. If it's a character that is not going to be actually made physically, then it is cgi. It's definitely fun stuff! Check out the upcoming Captain America: Winter Soldier in April. I designed Black Widow's costume again. Oh, and you can always find my artwork in all the "Art of" Marvel film books.

I'm hoping for my art book to feature the range of art I've done and like to do: comic style to painted style, realistic to cartoony. It's one of my problems => I like all styles. I see it as a blessing but also a curse.

Thanks for the update! I always loved your kratos art - truly inspirational! And that's flipping awesome that you've been working at Marvel - I'll have to re-watch those films to try and see your influence!

I can't wait for an Art book as well, I'd be all over that!
