This is a cover I did for DC Comics' SUPERMAN CONFIDENTIAL #8. I think it's expected to arrive in stores in October of 2007. This was my first time illustrating Superman since I was probably 5 years old. It was fun to do, but quite challenging. It was illustrated all in Photoshop.

While looking at the solicit covers at newsarama this really caught my eye. The composition and the colors and just about everything is beautiful.

The perspective is spot on. There is an awesome feeling that his seconds away from launching off at top speed.
The color choice is awesome too, making him bigger than life and the focal point at the same time. :)

Thanks! I appreciate it! This was a bit of a tough one to do b/c it's a moment before the cool moment of him flying up towards the sky. It's a transition piece, the moment he comes out and becomes his alter-ego, or his real self, however you wanna look at it. Thanks!
